Local Officials Visit for Reading Month

Romulus Elementary

State Representative Alex Garza and State Senator Erica Geiss visited Romulus Elementary this March for March is Reading Month. In addition to reading to students, the officials shared information about their jobs in the government and encouraged kids to read daily with their parents.

Wick Salutes Black History Month

Wick Elementary students put on a stupendous program this February honoring Black History Month. The program included multiple songs and tributes to the numerous contributions of famous African Americans throughout history. Congratulations to all the students for putting on a great show and bringing history alive.

Sixth-graders Get Exposed to Korean Culture

Middle School

Mrs. Bradlee’s 6 th grade Social Studies students read the book “A Single Shard”. The book follows the story of a young Korean orphan who has much interest in becoming a potter. After reading the book, 30 students from her class traveled to the University of Michigan Art Museum to view authentic Korean pottery and other artifacts. The students were also able to
